movies

i just saw Napoleon Dynamite for the first time the other day--Saturday Night i believe. That was hilarious. That kid is the combination of about three different people that i really did go to school with.

The night before that i watched Sleepy Hollow. i've seen it lots before; i just like it so much i watch it about once a year. i would totally live in that village if it were real. And i want a get-up like Johnny Depp had in that movie. But i doubt there are any 18th Century clothing stores in any of my local malls. bummer.

Isn't Napoleon Dynamite like the best movie ever! Everyone here totally has it memorized!

it's definitely among my favorites, yes. i don't know about best movie ever; but i'm horribly picky. and i usually can't choose a "favorite" in hardly any imaginable category. i probably still like Sleepy Hollow and the Matrix trilogy a little better than ND. However, ND is easily in my top ten, no doubt about that. about an hour after i finished the movie, i was still giggling about Uncle Rico totally nailing Napoleon right in the head with a steak.

I love that part! I really like the part where Napoleon hits Uncle Rico's van!

P.S. My frog is named Uncle Rico, and my fish are named Napoleon Dynamite, Kip, and LA-FAWN-DUH. :)

P.P.S. I really liked the movie. :)

There used to be store here that actually did sell 18th century clothing (among other costumes) but went out of business :-( maybe Easley's downtown does though....hmmmm... yeah, people compare me to Napoleon... it's embarassing...hahaha...

ummm..i certainly don't perceive you as being as awkward as Napoleon.

no kidding though--i went to jr. high with this kid who always claimed he sky dived with his dad onto the streets of italy right in the middle of gang fights; and, he would say, he almost got shot if it hadn't been for his dad who tossed him his "street sweeper" (his word--a tommy gun i'm assuming) and shot all the italian gang members down. he even claimed one time to have been attacked by a guy with a sword, but his dad threw him his own sword and he hit the other guy's sword so hard that it split in two.

i kid you not--this guy would say all that with a perfectly straight face and as serious as a heart attack.

much like Napoleon's "girlfriend from Oklahoma" eh?

Ha that's funny. I use to go to school with this kid named Perry. And he was soooo weird. When he was bored he would chew his entire 3 ring binder and you could see the cardboard underneath and he would chew on that too. And he always did this rain dance. The teachers would invite him up to the front of the room and he would do a dance kicking his legs and yoddle the way indians do with their hand over their mouth. And well when he was done we would open the classroom door and sure enough it was raining. And he had a mullet. Funny huh?

my friend mark and i used to work at this call center called matrixx marketing (this was like 7 or 8 years ago). and every time the supervisor wasn't around, mark and this other guy would totally throw football passes to each other from across several rows of cubicles.

man i hated that job. it only took me all of four weeks to decide to quit.
